Adobe is unforgivably lazy and there's better raw processing (and better software generally) out there, but Lightroom is as serviceable for X-Trans as it is for any other files, IMHO.Īll that being said, Iridient X-Transformer is excellent and if you want an alternative to X Raw Studio that can fit into an existing workflow it's perfect, but I really only use it for when I'm batch-processing a bunch of images that I'm going to process and stack outside of my normal workflow (it's part of my astrophotography workflow). Unregistered Iridient X-Transformer will run in demo mode. It is noted for its ability to process Fujifilm X-Trans raw files, and being one of the first to be able to generate sharp images from them. I also think that the complaints with Lightroom and Camera Raw are vastly overblown in the majority of cases today - I would encounter an occasional annoyance with foliage and X-T1 files a few years ago, but I had no issues with X-Trans III files and Adobe's processing before I switched to Capture One. Iridient Developer, formerly Iridient RAW Developer, is a commercial and proprietary raw image format processing software for macOS. My guess is that it does not work with LR 6.9.

What issues are you having? I find Capture One to be quite good enough. Iridient X-Transformer runs as a plug-in under Lightroom Classic CC 7.4, on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra (10.13.6), allowing me to process as a plug-in from LR. If youre a Fujifilm photographer, Lightroom user, and you DO NOT WANT TO switch over to Capture One Pro specifically to avoid the 'wormy artifact' problem. In addition to these online tutorials there is additional 'users manual' style documentation available for Iridient Developer which can be viewed by clicking the Help button in the Settings window or choosing 'Iridient Developer Help' from the Help menu while running the program. Iridient X-Transformer, on the other hand, is basically the core processing engine stripped of its interface, and it is designed primarily to convert your Fuji Raw files into DNGs using Iridient’s own conversion engine. Since X-trans processing support is not quite satisfactory in the major raw developers Basically, Iridient Developer, which has been around for a while is a fully featured raw conversion and editing application.
